| We are a disparate group of comedy writers with day jobs who feel
that the Interwebsuperhighway is a good method of removing excess
material from our brains or as we call it ‘Jam’. Most
of us would like to get money for jam and some of us in the past have
done just that, but frankly all are too lazy to go out looking for
buyers, so it is deposited neatly here in small piles.
Brainjam started in 1996 under the name of Oscar’s Fan Club.
However it often became confused with sites about the American Academy
Awards. So in 2000 it was decided that we should change it's name.
After writing lots of words on a piece of paper and each of us drinking
our weight in beer Martin Wolfenden suggested that it should be
called Brainjam and we all agreed. However not long after, a computer
game came out for the PC with the same name but we couldn’t
be arsed changing it again.
We are based in the lovely town of Sowerby
Bridge in West Yorkshire and like nothing more than to drink
and talk about comedy, acting and murder. Although the murder conversations
have dropped off since Harold Shipman was dragged away from Brainjam
and into his grave via prison.
At the moment we have three regular contributors and one constant
contributor. If you feel like sending us something even if it’s
just a link to a funny blog then give us a fondle or just contact
us though the contacts page.
